"A Servant Willing to Take Up a Towel" We are blessed with outstanding clergy at Hope Lutheran. All of our pastors are well-read, intelligent and passionate speakers. One particular sermon that coincides with the Stephen Ministry recruitment program is from Pastor Mike Toomey called, "A Servant willing to Take Up a Towel." The sermon addresses how when Jesus calls us to be fishers of people, He is calling us to do hard work. In Stephen Ministry we are asking people to become humble servants of Jesus, of being a disciple of Jesus Christ.
