Bethany Retirement Living Annual Meeting - 2010
Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, is sponsored by 40 area North Dakota ELCA congregations, including Hope Lutheran. Representatives Kathy Blumeyer and Mary Ann Hansen attended Bethany's Annual Meeting April 13 held at the new facility on 42 Street.
Bethany on University consists of a 172-bed nursing facility (skilled); assisted living facilities (Towers I and II) housing 145 residents (33 of these units are Basic Care); 35 independent living units at Bethany Kinder House; Bethany Personal Care Services and Bethany's Foundation. Bethany on 42nd consists of a 78 bed nursing facility (52 skilled beds and 26 transitional care beds); and 40 assisted living units (Bethany Gables).
Bethany remains thankful for the volunteer hours provided through Congregation Auxiliary members and pastoral support, as well as the prayers, visits and financial support received from congregational members.

The Auxiliary meets the 4th Monday every other month at 1:30pm. Representatives from Hope Lutheran Circles are Leona Boldt and Verna Thompson.

The people of Hope Lutheran Church help make and serve meals twice a month at Churches United for the Homeless,1901 1 Ave N, Moorhead MN.
We serve the 3rd Thursday and the 4th Tuesday of each month. Contact Betty at 280-0102, North Campus or Ann-235-6629, South Campus to volunteer or for more information.
SEEKING ITEMS FOR CHURCHES UNITED FOR THE HOMELESS
Current needs for the transitional housing program at Churches United for the Homeless are: Gently used silverware, towels (kitchen and bath), vacuum cleaners, dinette sets, other furniture (couches, chairs, lamps, coffee tables, etc.), kitchen items (silverware, dishes, pans, can openers, etc.), toiletries (shampoo, hand soap, etc.), laundry supplies (baskets, soap, dryer sheets, bleach, etc.), and household cleaning supplies.

Giving Tree is at Both Campuses
Help Hope Lutheran bring memories and a message of hope to children, families and special needs adults (who might otherwise not receive any gifts) the holiday season.
Details will be available closer to the holiday.
The Holiday Clearing Bureau Giving Tree campaign coordinates the collection and distribution of Christmas gifts for disadvantaged individuals in Cass and Clay counties. For additional information, please visit myfirstlink.org.

Project HERO collects and redistributes donated healthcare materials to benefit those in need. The people of Hope Lutheran donate many times each year. For additional information, visit fmhero.org.
