Affirmation of Baptism Dates

(Rite of Confirmation)

The Affirmation of Baptism service is a time when students publicly proclaim their growing faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We encourage students to live out their faith in mission following the example of Jesus. Each student received a letter August 25 with their Affirmation of Baptism time. That letter is also available in PDF form by clicking the link at the right.

South Campus

PowerLife Confirmation...

...is a relational style confirmation program for 6^th, 7^th, 8^th, and 9^th graders on Wednesday nights, 7:00-8:00pm, North Campus and South Campus.

Weekly sessions alternate between small group and large group experiences. The Large Group time is taught by staff and meets in the sanctuary at each campus. The Small Group times are mentored by adult Guides who are parents of confirmands or other caring adults. Confirmation begins September 8th with the Fall Kickoff and continues through April 27, 2011 with breaks for holidays.

Worship notes, home devotions, fellowship/service events are a part of the PowerLife Confirmation experience.

Share Your Faith as a Confirmation Guide

Do you love the Lord? Do you like to spend time with 11 - 14 year-olds? If you said "yes", we want you to be a Guide - a small group leader for PowerLife Confirmation. You'll attend Wednesday night Learning Events with your small group and help them put faith into action doing local service projects.

PowerLife Confirmation opportunities for parents:

Prayer: Pray for the Student Ministry program, the youth, the staff and volunteers.

Confirmation Guide: Become a consistent small group leader for confirmation students on Wednesday evenings.

Support Team: Be on a team of parents who will be scheduled to support our Wednesday night program 3 or 4 times a year.

Faith Sharer: Share your faith story in a PowerLife Confirmation or Real Life setting.

Guide Appreciation Team: Help plan and carry out acts of appreciation for Guides.

Wednesday Night Youth Sound Tech: Run the sound board on Wednesday evenings.

Guide Mentor: Mentor and encourage a small group of Guides. Great opportunity for a former Guide.

Support your student's small group: Sub when asked, provide refreshments, offer home for Fellowship Events, provide transportation for Fellowship Events and/or Service Events.
