Prayer Ministry

"Whatever you ask for in prayer believe that you have received it and it will be yours."  Mark 11:24

Prayer Ministry is central to this congregation through the Prayer Ministry Team, corporate prayer in the context of worship, personal prayer as two or three are gathered, and in personal visits.

One of the great privileges in ministry is the opportunity to remember one another in prayer. Hope Lutheran does this in a number of ways.

• Weekly Staff Prayers - Hope Lutheran staff gathers in prayer weekly addressing the concerns submitted by members/visitors of Hope Lutheran.
• Worship Services - Prayers of Hope are incorporated into each weekly worship service.
• Email Prayers - Members pray for all submitted prayer concerns via daily emails. To submit a prayer, contact Em at remesselt@cableone.net.
• Mailbox Prayers - Members pray for all submitted prayer concerns via weekly notes that arrive in the mail.
• Prayer Ministry Teams - Acknowledges individual prayer requests.

Operation Joshua

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

Operation Joshua is a ministry of HopeCare to honor and support our men and women on active military duty. It is a ministry to remember, encourage, support and pray for Hope Lutheran family members and friends who are on active duty.

To help Operation Joshua run smoothly we need the assistance of the congregation. The program must have the correct and current rank, name, mailing address and length of deployment of your military service member. We want to continue to thank them for their sacrifice.Please stop at the Operation Joshua table to leave a quick message in a card or book. These are sent directly to the military members.

How do we do this?

• We post information on each military person on the bulletin board at each campus.
• We regularly pray, individually and corporately, for each person identified on the bulletin board.
• We send these special people a letter to let them know we are praying for them and will also send cards and letters of encouragement.
• We actively encourage the Hope Lutheran family to become "Prayer/Pen Pals" with individual military persons.
• We also periodically send CARE packages to our friends on active duty.
  • Military Support Care Packages - Ideas for care packages include: sunflower seeds, Tootsie Rolls, individual crackers, sausage or beef jerky, DVDs, CDs, books, magazines, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, hand sanitizer, soap, eye drops and phone cards. Please do not include pork or anything glass or religious. Items may be dropped off at the Church Office at either campus.
