March is Minnesota Food Share
2010 Collection:
Our sincere thanks to all who contributed money and food during the month of March to the Minnesota Food Share program. There was a great outpouring of gifts. Several agencies in Fargo and Moorhead - and the people they serve - will benefit from having those gifts multiplied by Minnesota Food Share.
The food was divided between Churches United for the Homeless, Emergency Food Pantry, Dorothy Day House and HopeCare Food Pantry. According to Linda at Emergency Food Pantry, we also gave $2,623. Thanks be to God...and to you!
Campaign:
Minnesota Food Share is an interfaith collaboration, cosponsored by Jewish and Christian congregations, which greatly increases the amount of food available for distribution to persons and families in need. All monetary gifts and food items received will go to selected local agencies serving people in our community.
Hope Lutheran is participating by:
- Non-perishable food items may be brought to either campus at any time during the month of March. Grocery bags, containing a suggested list of needed items, will be available as a reminder to "raid the cupboard."
- Special offering envelopes will be placed in the bulletins in March for your convenience in making a monetary gift. Make checks payable to Hope Lutheran Church.
All contributions will be multiplied by Minnesota Food Share in March. This is a wonderful opportunity to see our gifts enlarged.

In March 2008, we collected 923 pounds of food at the South Campus and 667 pounds at the North Campus for a total of 1,595 pounds of food! Along with the Food, we collected $3723.25 for Minnesota Food Share!
