 HopeCare makes a difference:
Dear HopeCare, I would like to thank HopeCare for having hearing devices so the hearing impaired can hear the music and sermons during worship. My husband wouldn't be able to hear if he didn't have one. All I can say is "THANK YOU!"

Wheelchair Outreach – Wheels for the World

Let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:23

Wheels for the World aims to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the disabled around the world by providing wheelchairs and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

The World Health Organization estimates that there is a need for 20-30 million wheelchairs around the world. In some of these countries the cost of a wheelchair can equal a year's wages, resulting in the impossibility for people affected by disability to ever receive one. Living in isolation, lacking simple mobility and cut off from life, many of the disabled are also tragically cut off from the local church. As a result, many have never heard the gospel message or experienced the love of Christ.

Wheels for the World aims to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the disabled around the world by providing wheelchairs and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. We also do this by connecting the disabled with the church through creating disability awareness and by educating and training the local churches in disability ministry.

Wheels for the World through the year 2005 has distributed over 35,000 wheelchairs to over 70 countries and have trained hundreds of ministry and community leaders, including people with disabilities. As a result many have placed their trust in Christ, are experiencing new life and purpose with their new mobility, and disability ministry is growing all over the world.

 HopeCare makes a difference:

"Dear HopeCare, I sincerely want to thank you for giving me the wonderful wheelchair that I took to Romania for my brother. He was very happy to receive it and said how much he appreciated HopeCare for sending it to him. He also thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers. It means so much to him knowing that the people of Hope Lutheran are thinking about him and others. God bless you."

HopeCare makes a difference:

Dear HopeCare, I became involved in Open Arms Ministry after reading an article in the bulletin. Hope Lutheran was looking for an adult to help a child in Faith Steps with special needs. Three years later, I am still assisting this child as he experiences his first year in Confirmation. Working with this child and helping him learn has been extremely rewarding. I am so glad I made a commitment to Open Arms Ministry. It has helped me grow in my faith while helping someone else learn and grow in their faith, at the same time.
