Do you have two churches? We are one church serving two locations. We have one
location on the North side of
How big is your church? We have approximately 9,000 baptized members.
How old is your church? Our church was founded in the year of 1958.
How many services do you have? We have three Sunday morning services at each
campus, a Wednesday evening service at the North Campus, a Thursday evening alternative
Fuel service (for young adults) at the South Campus, and a Friday evening
service at the South Campus. Note: Wednesday and Friday services do not meet in
the summer (June – August).
What time are services? Click here for worship times.
What are the Church Office hours? 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The office
remains open Wednesdays until 7:00pm, September through May.
What are your services like? Our Sunday morning 8:15 and 8:30am services are
considered traditional. Our Wednesday, Friday and other Sunday services are
contemporary. Our Thursday FUEL service is alternative, geared to young adults.
What is traditional worship? If you grew up going to a liturgical church (most
likely Lutheran or Catholic) and enjoyed the responsive readings, sung liturgy,
old hymns and maybe even a pipe organ, then this will probably be the service
you can sing in your "heart language." But make no mistake - this
isn't just for old timers. There are plenty of young parents who wish to pass
on this rich heritage of worship. There are also young adults who have chosen
this form for its sense of stability in the midst of our chaotic world.
The North Campus traditional
service is led by organ with musical offerings from the Bells of Hope,
Sanctuary Choir, Faith Steps and occasional featured musicians. Communion is
offered the first Sunday of the month.
The South Campus traditional
service is led by piano with musical offerings from the Praise Choir, Faith
Steps and occasional featured musicians. Communion is offered every Sunday.
What is contemporary worship? If you grew up listening to pop or rock music on the radio, then this will most likely be your “heart language” when it comes to singing in worship. You are sure to be comfortable with a "worship team" up front. A worship team looks like a band with drums, bass, keyboard, guitars and singers. But don't be fooled - this is no performance. Worship is a full participation experience. The worship team is there to worship God and to encourage you to worship with them. What is FUEL alternative worship? FUEL uses a unique blend of music, personal messages,
and a community of people connecting with each other; all aimed at reaching out
to others with God's love. The climate of FUEL should be one that
crosses all church boundaries. It is worship targeting a mindset, not a
particular age-set. No matter who you are, where you've been or what you've
done, the journey is one to be shared. We invite you to journey with us.
Do
you have childcare? Yes. The nursery
is available during all worship services. Hope Lutheran’s safe and caring
nursery provides well-prepared facilities and well-trained, loving workers to
stand alongside and support parents as they seek to nurture their children.
How do I become a member? Five to six times a year, we hold a New Member
Orientation class. The class meets on a weeknight for approximately three
hours, including dinner. During this time, you will hear from pastors and staff
about becoming a Lutheran and a member of
Is the church handicap accessible? Yes. We offer the following building accessibility
and resources:
TOT is Sunday School for little ones. TOT is designed for children two years old (as of September of the current year) and is based on the belief that young children will readily accept that which is within the realm of their interests and abilities.

How do I get to Hope Lutheran Church? Click here for directions.
What should I wear to church? It is entirely up to you. You can come dressed casually or you can choose to wear a suit. Either way is great!
Do I have to be a member to participate? Absolutely not. We invite all to come worship with us. At Hope Lutheran Church "all people are encouraged to know the love of Christ."
Do I have to be a member to schedule a baptism? No. However, nonmembers are encouraged to attend one of our Baptism Orientation classes held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. Please contact the Church Office at 701-235-6629 for campus location. To schedule a baptism at Hope Lutheran Church, please contact the Church Office to confirm the date. We also need to know the names of sponsors and an approximate number of family and friends who will be attending. Because of the important role the congregation plays in your child's baptism, we strongly encourage you to schedule the baptism during a worship service.
Do I have to be a member to schedule a wedding? Yes. To schedule a member wedding or to discuss becoming a member, contact the Church Office at 701-235-6629.
How do I contact the church? Our phone number is 701-235-6629.
