Why do I volunteer for HopeCare?
"We quilters have been making quilts for the children of our military families. It is a privilege to show the children that we support them also. After all, they are sacrificing a parent for a period of time to fight for our country. God gave us the privilege to do this for them and I am thankful for that."
"I volunteer in the garage each week distributing basic items that people need for setting up an apartment. I knew right away that it was my calling to do this for the Caring for the Community part of HopeCare. It is REALLY SOMETHING to see the smiles on peoples faces when they receive a pillow, dishes, silverware, blankets, etc. They are so grateful. At the end of the day, I know that I helped someone and it is very meaningful to me."
Thank you to all financial contributors!
"Thank you to everyone who has made a financial contribution to HopeCare. Because of you, we have been able to participate in PATH’s “Welcome Basket” project to help youth in foster care transition to independent living. We have also been growing our own Care Basket Ministry through outreach to the
Roger
Maris
Cancer
Center and the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery at MeritCare. In addition, Hospice Care Kits are being sent to Global Health Ministries in
Africa . Through the Caring for the Community Ministry of HopeCare, we have distributed vacuums, pillows, new silverware and small appliances to people in need. Thank you so very much!"
